Little Gems Summer Term 1
Event Banner
Little Gems sessions from April 22nd - May 20th

Sessions will run from 10-11.30 am on Tuesday mornings. We offer free play, craft activities, drinks and snacks for the children, bible stories and singing. Tea and coffee is served to the adults throughout the morning. We aim to run a friendly group, and love to see the families that regularly attend chatting to newer families and helping them feel included and welcome. Our volunteers work hard to create a warm and friendly atmosphere and aim to make everyone feel welcomed and cared for.

The suggested donation for 5 sessions is £6 per family. You only need to book 1 ticket per family, not one ticket for each child. So please choose 1 adult ticket and then add the names and ages of the children in the comments section. This covers snacks, play equipment and craft items and is not for profit. If you will be away for some of the sessions, feel free to pay less than the suggested £6. You can either follow the link to pay online, or pay on the day via cash or card.
Little Gems is run by ChristChurch Hailsham. We run the group to serve and bless families in the local area. All of our helpers are available to listen if you are having a difficult time, and we are always happy to pray with you should you like us to. The church also runs a youth group, a group for older people, support for financial difficulties, a pregnancy crisis centre and free English lessons at our global café.

You are welcome to bring your own snacks for your child, but please make sure these are served while your child is sitting down, and then put away after they have finished as otherwise these can be accidentally shared with other children who may have food allergies.

Please do not bring children who are unwell to sessions, or older siblings who are not in school.
All children must be supervised by their parents/carers during the sessions. By booking these sessions you are agreeing to take full responsibility for your child while they attend. While the volunteers do all they can to make the building safe and welcoming, it is a multi-purpose building and has not been child-proofed! We also understand that children often go through tricky stages while they are learning to be part of a group, learning to share, take turns and play gently is all part of that. That's why we ask parents/carers to stay close to their children during sessions so that sessions are safe and fun for everyone.

We love to see how the children grow and learn new things, and we offer story and singing time to help build their attention and concentration skills. It really helps us if parents/carers come and support their children to take part in these activities, but there's no pressure to join in if they don't want to! We just ask that they don't distract those who are taking part.

Limited parking is available, but please only park in the spaces marked CC. Please do not park in Howdens or Jayar spaces as these are needed for their customers. Further spaces are available in the south road car park a few minutes walk away. Please take care while driving in and out as lorries make frequent deliveries to our neighbours and we want everyone to stay safe.
